We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance to join us here at Mochi Health. In this critical role, you will be the first hire for our finance teambuilding core processes and driving key decisions. You will own financial planning, analysis, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong business & financial acumen, the ability to interpret complex data, and excellent communication skills to present findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels. You will be reporting to the CSO managing finance for a private company scaling quickly in the most exciting city on the planet. Own the finance function at Mochi Health, managing cashflows, optimizing tax obligations, handling corporate filings, and preparing reports on a monthly or quarterly basis as needed
Build the core finance organization: Own corporate tax payments (state and federal) in collaboration with an external accounting firm ensuring that estimated taxes are paid timely
Lead all annual, quarterly, and longrange financial planning
Complete an audit of our financials in Q1 2026
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and policies
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
~ CPA and MBA
~2+ years in M&A investment banking and 2+ years in corporate finance at a startup with $50m+ in revenue in a controller or higher role
~ Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
~ Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data
~ Experience with Python, ERP systems; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
~ This is a full-time, five days in office position. Remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
250,000 - $300,000 , in addition to equity and benefits. Actual compensation within this range is determined by various factors, such as jobrelated skills, experience, relevant education or training, and location.
Workplace Policy
Our team works together in person five days a week to foster collaboration, innovation, and strong connections. For officebased roles, the standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. All employees receive meal and rest breaks in accordance with applicable state and local laws.
