As Chief Accounting Officer, youll lead the global accounting and reporting function during a transformative period. This is a high-impact role where youll ensure financial integrity, compliance, and transparency while driving process modernization and system implementation. Youll partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and capital market activities all while building a best-in-class accounting organization.

Our client is preparing to implement a new ERP/accounting platform to support scalability and efficiency. Your leadership will be critical in guiding this transition and harmonizing processes across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Oversee SEC filings and external reporting for a public company, maintaining the highest standards of transparency.
  • Lead the implementation of a new ERP/accounting system to support rapid growth.
  • Advise senior leadership on accounting implications for growth strategies, acquisitions, and capital market activities.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and adherence to GAAP, SOX, and international standards.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing global accounting team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience within a U.S. publicly traded company, including 5+ years in SEC reporting.
  • CPA required; Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and global accounting standards (IFRS, CAS).
  • Proven ability to build and scale accounting teams and lead through change.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems and modernizing processes.
  • Industrial or technology manufacturing experience preferred; complex, decentralized operations a plus.
  • Bonus: Series 27 qualification or ability to obtain is a plus.

The base salary range is highly competitive and flexible based on experience, with a target range of $250,000-$350,000, plus additional cash incentives and stock awards.
