Position Summary

The Hardware Engineering department helps create solutions and products to solve the unique transportation and infrastructure challenges encountered in the remote, hard-to-reach areas of the world where JAARS serves. As a Hardware Engineering Intern, you'll get to contribute to new or ongoing projects alongside the Hardware Engineering team.

• Support and contribute to the work of fellow team members
• Develop solutions that improve aviation, maritime, and land transportation in remote locations
• Develop alternative energy solutions to make living and working in remote areas possible
• Analyze and document designs
• Prototype and test designs
• Other job-related duties as assigned by your manager

Position Requirements

Job Requirements

• Able to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Learner attitude and willingness to be hands-on
• Familiarity with industry standard development tools (e.g., SolidWorks)
• Familiarity with prototyping and test environments (e.g., 3D printers, CNC routers, oscilloscope, and similar electronic test equipment)

• Completed sophomore year of college
• A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
