POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to join our finance team on a remote consulting basis. This role requires strong technical accounting skills with a focus on accruals, stock-based compensation, and contract review. The ideal candidate brings pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience and can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and own journal entries including accruals, payroll, cash, fixed assets, and other month-end entries
- Prepare complex accruals for medical affairs, commercial affairs, and research functions
- Review vendor and partner contracts to identify and evaluate terms related to accrual accounting
- Lead cross-functional meetings to discuss project completion percentages and related financial impacts
- Assist with ASC 718 stock compensation accounting and related reporting requirements
- Support year-end close process (overtime expected during this period)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years of experience with a publicly traded company xrczosw
- Life sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience required
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting principles
- Experience with ASC 718 (stock-based compensation)
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Remote position (operate on EST)
- Flexible start/end times with core business hour availability
- Overtime required during year-end close periods
