- Lead and manage the month-end close process within established deadlines.
- Review and analyze financial statements for multiple locations, identifying variances and ensuring accuracy.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and payment timeliness.
- Monitor general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and support location-level audits.
- Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and 1099 forms for assigned locations.
- Support the preparation of external audit materials and collaborate with auditors.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting workflows.
- Set up accounting systems and processes for new restaurant openings.
- Review and approve corporate credit card expense reports.
- Manage weekly and monthly financial reporting for executive leadership.
- Lead quarterly budget updates and assist with the annual budget process.
- Mentor and guide the accounting team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–5 years of accounting management experience in hospitality, multi-location retail, or restaurant operations.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with GAAP and experience supporting external audits.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Restaurant365 or similar ERP/accounting software strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
