Overview Job Title: ASL Instructor Location: Irvington, NJ 07111 (On-site) Organization: Priority Groups Compensation: $75–$80 per hour (minimum of 2 hours per session) Role: American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor Responsibilities Teach ASL to students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs. Monitor and evaluate student progress; provide constructive feedback. Foster awareness and appreciation of Deaf culture and community. Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive, and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with Priority Groups staff to support program success. Qualifications Proficiency in American Sign Language with strong English communication skills. Prior experience teaching ASL in academic or community settings. Solid knowledge of Deaf culture and inclusive education practices. RID certification, teaching credentials, or equivalent certifications (preferred, not required). Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
