About Julison Sell Search

Julison Sell is a Washington-based, woman-owned executive search firm specializing in healthcare recruitment, physician leadership placement, and behavioral health staffing. We help organizations build strong clinical teams that improve patient care and community health. Our approach is research-driven, relationship-focused, and designed to match professionals with roles where they can thrive and make a lasting impact.

About the Role

This is a groundbreaking opportunity to lead the first-of-its-kind Secure Withdrawal Management and Stabilization Facility (SWMS) for a Northwest Washington Tribal Nation. Scheduled to open in 2026, this community-centered substance use treatment program goes beyond stabilization—it provides wraparound services including primary care, mental health care, housing, and more.

The Medical Director will shape a program that treats the whole person with dignity and respect, ensuring care that reflects the values of unconditional high regard and cultural sensitivity. Every patient is considered family, and saving even one life is worth every effort. We seek a leader with vision—someone who believes in compassionate, transformative care and is ready to create the kind of treatment they wish existed in the world.

This leader is:

  • An excellent collaborator and service-oriented leader.
  • Clinically skilled in complex and critical care addiction medicine, specifically alcohol withdrawal and fentanyl treatment.
  • Shows curiosity and humility when working on culturally sensitive issues and understanding the lived experiences of Tribal members.
  • Familiar with how social services interact with medical treatment and ready to work with a team of multidisciplinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for medical and psychiatric staff.
  • Develop and implement protocols for withdrawal management and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
  • Deliver up to 16 hours of direct patient care weekly, including evaluations and medication management.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing, counseling, and case management teams for integrated care.
  • Mentor and supervise licensed providers and clinical staff.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • MD from an accredited U.S. medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in addiction medicine, including MAT.
  • Current DEA license and ACLS/BLS certification.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
