Pay Range
The Target Pay Range for this position is $167,500.00 to $204,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $129,800.00 to $242,200.00 annually. Compensation is determined by experience, education, and job‑related skills, with performance‑based incentives that vary by role.

Impact You’ll Make
As a Senior Cybersecurity Architect, you will design and implement secure solutions on‑premises and in cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). You will influence critical decisions, collaborate across the organization, and embed security into business initiatives.
Location
Required residency in WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA. Washington state candidates within driving distance of Tukwila must work on Tuesday & Wednesday. Remote or onsite work is available in approved remote locations.
What You’ll Do
- Shape the security vision by partnering with business leaders to evolve BECU’s strategic architecture.
- Translate complex security strategies into clear, actionable guidance for business applications and solutions.
- Design domain‑specific architecture with best practices for multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Facilitate architectural reviews to ensure secure‑by‑design principles.
- Champion standards and practices, guiding teams to integrate secure solutions into initiatives.
- Identify gaps and propose enhancements that strengthen security posture and operational efficiency.
- Lead solution architecture to embed cybersecurity in every integration and implementation.
- Monitor emerging security risks and design proactive mitigation strategies.
- Stay ahead of threats and explore new technologies, incorporating them into designs where appropriate.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience designing and implementing security solutions.
- Required certifications: CISSP, SANS, GIAC, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in security principles, architecture design, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to translate complex technical information to all audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proven track record of implementing effective security measures.
