Facility in Galesburg, IL seeking EM locums coverage Rates: $370/hr Opportunity Highlights
- Night Shift Focus: The schedule is strictly for night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts).
- High-Acuity Setting: The ED is a Level II Trauma Center with 13 beds (serving an 81-bed hospital) and an annual volume of 28,000.
- Solo Coverage: You will be working single coverage overnight.
- Required Procedures: You must be proficient in standard ED procedures, including intubation, central line placement, joint reductions, sedation, laceration repair, and lumbar punctures.
- EMR System: The facility uses EPIC for all charting.
- Privileging: Full privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing time of 90 days.
- Provide independent, in-house ED coverage during the 12-hour night shift.
- Manage an average patient census of 2 patients per hour (approximately 24 patients per 12-hour shift).
- Perform all necessary standard ED procedures.
- Manage an average of 1.8 admissions while on shift.
- Education: MD or DO.
- Board Status: Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine is REQUIRED (FM or IM backgrounds will not be accepted).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Licensure: An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED. We will not accept IMLC candidates.
- Certifications: ACLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required.
- The target start date is January 5, 2026.
