Patients Seen: 3 - 5
Admissions: 1 - 2/day

Requirements
Must be Board Eligible
NM Medical License
NM Controlled Substance License
DEA (NM)
ACLS, ATLS, BLS

Required Skills
General Surgery: Adult, Pediatric, Trauma
Laparoscopic Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty
Chest wall/pleural procedures
GI Endoscopy: Upper & Lower (Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy)
Chest tube insertion
Central line insertion
PA catheter placement
Vascular access devices
Intestinal, Biliary procedures
Abdominal wall defects
Umbilical defects (Hernia)
Diaphragmatic hernia
Imperforate anus
PDA ligation

Assignment Details
Surgery call for ER/Trauma + Inpatient coverage
Admissions required
Level 3 Trauma Certified facility
Stroke Certified facility
Hospital Beds: 162
Supervision not required
EMR: Cerner
