Project Manager/Scrum Master - Onsite

to join our team in

Houston, Texas (US‑TX), United States (US) .

We are seeking a seasoned

Project Manager

with

8+ years of solid experience

to lead end‑to‑end

application development

projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record delivering software products on time, within budget, and to required quality standards using modern delivery practices (Agile/Scrum). This role requires technical fluency, excellent stakeholder management, and strong leadership to coordinate cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

Lead end‑to‑end delivery

of application development projects (involving

AI tools

for SDLC): initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.

Define and manage

project scope ,

schedule ,

budget , and

resource plans ; maintain and update project artifacts (charter, roadmap, RACI, RAID logs).

Drive iterative delivery using

Agile

methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) or manage hybrid/waterfall approaches where appropriate.

Serve as the primary

point of contact

for stakeholders (product owners, business sponsors, architects, vendors) and communicate project status, risks, and decisions.

Lead and facilitate

Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Refinement, and coach teams on Agile best practices.

Manage

requirements changes

and ensure scope is controlled via change control processes.

Remove

impediments

and blockers that prevent the team from delivering sprint commitments; escalate unresolved impediments to appropriate stakeholders.

Collaborate with Product Owner to ensure the

product backlog

is well‑groomed, prioritized, and contains clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.

Drive

release planning , sprint forecasting, and dependency management with other teams (internal and external).

Promote and embed

DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and quality‑first practices

into the team’s delivery pipeline.

Track and report

Agile metrics

(velocity, sprint predictability, cycle time, lead time, defect escape rate) and use them to drive improvements.

Monitor and manage

project risks and issues ; proactively drive mitigation and escalation as needed.

Oversee

quality assurance

practices and ensure acceptance criteria are met before release.

Coordinate with

DevOps

for CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, and deployments; ensure release readiness and rollback plans.

Track and report

project metrics

(velocity, burn‑down, milestone status, budget variance) to stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Manage third‑party vendors/contractors when applicable; ensure contractual SLAs and deliverables are met.

Mentor and develop project team members; promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Ensure compliance with

security , regulatory, and corporate governance requirements during development and deployment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

~8 years

total professional experience with at least

4+ years

in hands‑on project management for software/application development.

Proven experience managing

medium‑to‑large

software projects (web/mobile/cloud‑based applications) involving latest

AI tools

for SDLC.

Demonstrable track record of delivering projects using

Agile

(Scrum/SAFe) and familiarity with

Waterfall/Hybrid

models.

Bachelor’s degree in

Computer Science ,

Information Systems ,

Engineering , or related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills (Must‑Have)

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and application architecture fundamentals.

Deep expertise in

Agile/Scrum practices

and

latest AI tools

used for SDLC.

Experience with issue/portfolio/project management tools:

JIRA ,

Azure DevOps ,

Trello ,

MS Project , or similar.

Familiar with collaboration and documentation tools:

Confluence ,

SharePoint ,

Slack ,

Teams .

Basic familiarity with development and operations technologies:

CI/CD ,

Docker ,

Kubernetes , cloud platforms ( AWS ,

Azure , or

GCP ).

Comfort reading technical designs, user stories, API specifications, and basic SQL queries to validate work.

Soft Skills (Must‑Have)

Excellent

and communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong

leadership

and team‑building abilities; capable of motivating distributed teams.

Excellent

problem‑solving

and decision‑making under ambiguity and pressure.

Strong

time management , prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills.

Proven ability to

and drive consensus across cross‑functional teams.

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

Certifications:

PMP ,

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) ,

PMI‑ACP ,

SAFe Agile

certification.

Experience with

cloud‑native

application projects and microservices architectures.

Prior experience in manufacturing industries with familiarity of compliance requirements.

Experience with product management practices and working closely with

Product Owners .
