WelThe NP is vital in determining theongoing needs of patients and families. The NP works collaboratively with the clinical team and in close conjunction with the HPM Physicianto diagnose, prescribe, andconduct ongoing assessments.The NP is a conduit for apatient’s ever-changing medical information, helping ensure each personcanget the care they need, when they need it. Location: Washington, DC Schedule : 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday COVID-19 vaccine required to be completed upon start. Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides quality patient care in variety of settings in collaboration withand under the direction of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician. Follows established nursingand organizational standards, procedures, and practice. Gives specific patient care directions tonursing and other staff. Provides education and support for patients, families and staff members.May be asked to rotate to other regions/departments. Qualifications
Experience Requirements: Must have 5 years of recent clinical experience to include sufficient experience in hospice, palliative care, and/or acute inpatient care. Education Requirements:
Must have a Master's degree from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners. Required Certificates and/or Licenses: Must have medical practice license from the governing body for medical practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia. An ACHPN certification is preferred. New Grads Welcome to Apply Driver's License: Must have driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.
