Job Summary The Expeditor is responsible for daily reviewing the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) Commitment report and Past Due reports to identify material shortages, plans, releases, and schedule work orders required to complete ETA and past due orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Daily review of the ETA Commitment report generated by the planning department to identify material shortages and prioritizes them accordingly.

Release production Work Orders (WO) needed to complete ETA’s and past due customer orders.

Verify that ETA’s are completed and shipped as scheduled.

Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.

Communicate and collaborate with external departments to ensure orders are completed and shipped in a timely manner.

Identifies problems in workflows and recommend necessary modifications in affected departments and teams to Supervisor.

Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and internal safety regulations and policies.

Adhere to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements.

OTHER DUTIES

Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Educations and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent is required

1 year experience working in a manufacturing setting

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of production processes and quality control

Ability to problem solve in the event of workflow bottlenecks or shortages

Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

Ability to work independently and as a team player

Ability to analyze information and evaluate results for best outcome

Strong time management skills

Basic knowledge of engineering drawings

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) tool

Language Skills

English (reading, writing, verbal), bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)

Other Skills

Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours.

Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer or telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds. Have ability to complete frequent lifting, standing and walking up to 8 hours. May frequently use ladders, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment or enclosed office space; and can be exposed to a warehouse environment on a frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
