As a Registered Nurse on 4D Ortho/Neuro, a 26-bed unit known for exceptional teamwork, accountability, and high-energy care, you will provide specialized post-surgical and medical care. Roles and Responsibilities
Assess patients with a variety of needs, using a person-centered care approach and effectively prioritizing patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.
Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professionals and patients.
Exhibit competence and resourcefulness in performing the technical skills required to care for the patient, and maintain knowledge of organization and department policies, procedures, and standards.
Evaluate effectiveness of care, demonstrating critical thinking and making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addressing problems and ensuring compliant clinical documentation.
Assist with educating patients and families and serve as a resource on department standards for patient care.
This is a full-time position that includes weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Skills and Experience
Graduate Nurse from an accredited nursing school.
Eligible to obtain a limited permit.
Must obtain BLS and ACLS certifications prior to completion of the introductory period.
Physical Demands
Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions, and stooping and kneeling to pick up items from the floor, remove and replace items on lower shelves, and file documents in lower file drawers. Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able to physically operate the equipment used for the job.
