Conduct all relevant project management activities for various kinds of service projects with internal focus to meet project goals in terms of time, cost, and quality. The CS MI Service Engineering department is committed to providing industry-leading serviceability features and support for field personnel. The team consists of project managers, product technical engineers, authors, and content management specialists who work collaboratively and in parallel with clinical product development processes. Their integrated approach ensures the availability of essential training materials, technical documentation, service parts, and serviceability requirements for the initial delivery of new products.
In addition to supporting new product launches, the department maintains and updates content for products in the installed base, continuously developing innovative service methodologies to achieve service productivity goals. Through proactive collaboration and a focus on excellence, MI Service Engineering empowers field teams with the resources and expertise needed to deliver outstanding service throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities And Expectations
Lead all aspects of documentation sustaining activities, ensuring document feedback is handled efficiently and effectively.
Serve as the primary liaison with cross‑functional teams—including Product Lifecycle Management, Product Management, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, other Healthineers divisions, and OEM partners—to drive and accomplish service objectives such as Lifecycle Cost, Maintenance Cost, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) for PET/CT products.
Create, manage, and own comprehensive service project plans by defining deliverables and ensuring adherence to timelines and established parameters.
Participate actively in cross‑functional Project Steering and Sustaining Groups, regularly communicating project status updates to both project teams and service group stakeholders.
Monitor project milestones in alignment with the master schedule, proactively identify potential risks, and oversee the initiation, tracking, and escalation of mitigation strategies as necessary.
Anticipate and address potential challenges, applying strong negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial solutions across stakeholders.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to service quality by actively participating in decision‑making processes and prioritizing customer needs throughout all project phases.
Qualifications For Success In This Role
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science). Equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5–8 years in designing or supporting Medical Imaging Devices.
Practical use of Agile project management methodologies a plus.
Strong understanding of complex system design and development.
Experience servicing Computed Tomography (CT) and PET/CT systems a plus.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is Min $107,060 – Max $160,600. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
