The
Manufacturing QA Coordinator (Dairy Regulatory Compliance Specialist)
plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local dairy regulations, including PMO standards. This role ensures audit readiness, compliance training, corrective action implementation, and ongoing improvement of regulatory processes at the Bellevue dairy facility. The position partners closely with production, quality, maintenance, and HR to strengthen overall manufacturing compliance and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Auditing:
Conduct routine internal audits to ensure compliance with PMO, FDA, and state-level dairy regulations.
Maintain readiness for external regulatory audits and inspections.
Identify gaps, non-conformances, and regulatory risks; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Training & Development:
Develop and deliver targeted training programs on dairy regulatory requirements for:
Production staff
Lab technicians
Supervisors
Plant managers
Communicate regulatory updates and ensure site-wide understanding of compliance standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of audits, training sessions, and compliance activities.
Prepare detailed compliance reports for both internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
Track audit trends and analyze data to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with Quality, Production, Maintenance, HR, and other teams to resolve non-compliance issues.
Lead root cause investigations and ensure effective CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and compliance systems.
Systems & Tools:
Use Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
Experience with QMS platforms preferred.
Audit management software experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, dairy QA, food manufacturing QA, or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of PMO, FDA, and state dairy regulations.
Proven experience conducting internal audits and implementing CAPA.
Strong communication and training delivery skills.
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable policies/processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; QMS experience preferred.
