is seeking a
Finishing Supervisor
to lead their finishing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This hands-on role involves overseeing paint and coating processes, managing a production team, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining equipment for optimal throughput. About the Role The Finishing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of finishing processes, including paint and coating applications, in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role requires leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail to maintain quality and production goals. Key Responsibilities Supervise paint application processes and ensure equipment and materials support production output Identify and resolve production challenges, including coating defects and equipment disruptions Maintain, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on paint booths, spray guns, mixing systems, ventilation systems, multi-stage wash systems, and ovens Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and Maintenance teams to align goals and ensure compliance Maintain accurate production data and reporting in ERP systems to meet regulatory and operational requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) 5+ years of experience in paint and finishing processes, including powder and dip coatings; experience with metal surfaces preferred 3+ years of production supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with hazardous waste management and disposal requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams); ERP experience preferred Knowledge of paint processes, flow, viscosity, and quality inspection Strong organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills Ability to work flexible shifts to meet production requirements Physical/Mental Demands Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and pushing/pulling (up to 100 lbs) Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling Ability to see, hear, and operate safely in a plant environment Work Environment Plant/facility setting with moderate noise and varying temperatures Personal protective equipment required (steel toe shoes, gloves, hearing protection) Occasional travel to other company sites may be required Compensation & Benefits Base salary range:
