Seeking a versatile technician with strong mechanical design experience and advanced digital skills. This role supports CAD design, drawing management, ERP routing, change management, and design automation across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is highly computer-savvy and able to leverage automation and AI to improve engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities CAD Design & Documentation Create and revise detailed 2D/3D models and technical drawings (SolidWorks). Produce complete drawing packages and maintain supporting documentation. Manage drawing databases and revisions within PDMWorks. Shop Routers & Change Management Create and update Shop Routers in ERP systems (e.g., Syteline). Create, track, and close Change Management (MOC) actions (ETQ Reliance). Design Automation & AI Tools Use and enhance design automation tools (DriveWorks). Support implementation of AI-driven design and routing workflows. Create and troubleshoot macros for automated processes. Technical Support & Problem Solving Troubleshoot issues across CAD, ERP, and automation platforms. Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and IT teams. Process & Documentation Management Maintain SOPs, job aids, and departmental documentation. Support process mapping, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Software Skills Required:
SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite Preferred:
PDMWorks, DriveWorks, Power Apps, ETQ Reliance, Syteline (or similar ERP), JMP Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 3+ years of CAD design and manufacturing documentation experience. Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
