Overview Were partnering with a large, privately held global organization operating high-availability media and communications platforms across multiple regions. This team runs in a purpose-led, performance-focused culture and supports continuous, real-time delivery environments. Theyre looking for a senior technical lead who can own system reliability while driving modernization.

Role Summary Were hiring a hands-on Tech Lead to take ownership of technical architecture, deployment, and ongoing performance for enterprise broadcast and IP video transport systems. This role sits at the center of production operations and requires a mix of legacy broadcast knowledge and modern IP media expertise.

Youll be the senior escalation point, set technical direction for the environment, and oversee a small support group.

Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Deployment Ownership Lead design, configuration, and rollout of broadcast encoding and IP transport platforms from planning through production. Technical Leadership Guide engineering/operations teams, establish standards, and mentor junior team members to strengthen bench depth. Reliability & Escalation Serve as the top technical escalation for critical incidents; ensure uptime, stability, and consistent signal quality. Quality + Efficiency Tuning Continuously optimize encoding performance, transport reliability, latency, and network utilization. Platform Improvement Identify gaps, introduce new tooling, and drive automation/monitoring enhancements to scale and harden operations.

Required Technical Expertise: NMX (Core Requirement) Strong hands-on experience with NMX systems and the NMX Suite

is essential. Ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot NMX-based broadcast/video transport environments in production. Video Encoding & Management Experience with professional broadcast encoding/transmission platforms at enterprise scale. Skilled in centralized management/monitoring of broadcast devices. Advanced use of

FFmpeg

for transcoding, stream manipulation, and media processing. Operating Systems & Network Infrastructure Expert-level Linux administration in production environments. Working knowledge of Ubuntu and enterprise Linux distributions (CentOS/RHEL or equivalents). Hands-on configuration/troubleshooting of enterprise routers and switches. IP Media Transport Proven experience delivering low-latency, high-reliability video/audio over IP. Hands-on support of protocols such as: SRT Zixi RIST Comfortable working in blended broadcast/IP workflows. RF / Satellite Transmission (Preferred) Solid RF foundation with exposure to professional transmission chains and control-room hardware (modulation, down conversion, tracking, and related RF systems).

Compensation & Benefits: Starting base salary: $120,000+
