Unit Bio:
The Surgical Oncology unit cares for a variety of surgical oncology specialties, such as complex Upper and Lower GI, GYN Oncology, and Head and Neck. This unit also serves as an acute medical/surgical unit which includes 12 intermediate level care beds.
The nursing staff has worked to create a work environment which values excellence, teamwork and peer support. Nursing staff work collaboratively with leadership in a shared governance model. R4 is a very goal‑driven unit and they encourage staff to pursue professional goals.
Summary: The Nursing Unit Secretary role performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties. This is a part‑time, day shift position.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
Experience: One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.
