Position Summary
eX² Technology is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join its team. We are seeking someone skilled in coordinating, supervising and directing work activities of those engaged in telecommunications construction projects. In this role, the Construction Superintendent will direct activities concerned with job work orders and related services.

Read, interpret and build, according to design site plans and layouts.
Perform inspections and troubleshoot problems with entire installs.
Capture and provide close out packages.
Coordinate submitting, acquiring and closing out permits.
Attend bid walks to inspect work areas and determine type of work, materials and equipment required.
Conduct site surveys, as necessary.
Study specifications to plan procedures for a project according to start and completion dates/times and staffing requirements for each phase of Project/Construction.
Determine workforce requirements and establish production schedules to meet service loads.
Estimate worker hour requirements for completion of each job assignment.
Initiate Job Work Orders for all construction/project work.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), evaluating material, equipment and production cost estimates, performance requirements and delivery schedules for accuracy and completeness.
Process and review all documentation generated from outside office (timesheets, job sheets, reports and production records) for accuracy, completeness and other details.
Initiate a list of tools and materials to be ordered/delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
Direct and coordinate testing and inspecting of equipment for operational performance.
Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinate with job production procedures in cooperation with other Field Supervisors to maximize service reliability and minimize costs.
Request amendments to or extensions of Job Service Contracts (change orders).
Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
Act as a liaison between the company, field personnel and customers.
Interpret company policies to team members and subcontractors while enforcing safety regulations.
Interpret job orders and assign duties to team members and subcontractors.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate team members and subcontractors to achieve work goals.
Confer with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within the workforce.
Establish and coordinate field personnel’s daily schedules.
Oversee and coordinate subcontractors’ construction activities and progress.
Job Requirements
Education
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 3–5 years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
4+ years of related construction experience and/or training.
Experience managing employees, including hiring, termination, performance reviews, work allocation, schedule setting, training and related responsibilities.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Good communication, reading and writing skills.
Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and project management software.
Clean Driving Record, valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be able to accommodate out-of-town travel, if required.
Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment and electro‑mechanical equipment.
Highly organized and able to effectively provide verbal and written reports to the Operations Manager or Director.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent is required to walk on potential construction sites in rough terrain, climb ladders and walk facilities under construction. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Other Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent may split time between work in a semi-quiet office environment and on customer sites, where there is moderate to occasional great noise levels.
Language Skills
Communicates effectively in oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
