The Basics of This Position The Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the College Prep program on the Forest Park campus. Responsibilities include recruiting, scheduling, training, and supervising tutors, and promoting the program through internal and external presentations. Collaborating closely with the District Manager, this role will also involve policy implementation. Additionally, the Supervisor will serve as a tutor in one of the core subject areas (Math, Reading, and/or English), directly assisting students with onboarding, evaluation, tutoring, and program completion. Furthermore, the Supervisor will advocate for students by collaborating with faculty to enhance student readiness for college-level coursework in math, reading, and English.

What You'll Do

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise tutors for the College Prep program, primarily at the Forest Park campus.

Oversee College Prep facilities and spaces at the Forest Park campus, including procurement and inventory management of supplies and technology.

Promote the College Prep program to internal and external stakeholders through targeted marketing efforts, including outreach to high schools and college partners.

Directly engage with students as needed to facilitate onboarding, evaluation, tutoring, and transitions to credit courses or workforce programs.

Conduct outreach and provide intrusive advising to support students in achieving their educational goals.

Prepare regular reports on student engagement, progress, and completion.

Facilitate the use and training of software tools for staff and students, ensuring proficiency and effective utilization.

Coordinate procurement of materials, supplies, and technology necessary for program operation at the Forest Park campus.

Participate in meetings, professional development activities, and committee work to stay informed of best practices in academic support and student services.

Serve as the on‑site liaison with campus departments to facilitate student referrals and transitions between College Prep and credit courses.

Ensure College Prep students have access to resources, information on college policies, and appropriate support contacts.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Mathematics, or Reading or a Bachelor’s Degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in English, Mathematics, or Reading.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in developmental education or tutoring is preferred but not required.
