Job Description This position is located at the Davenport Works plant and primarily supports functions in North America across all mill locations, with a focus on the Automotive business segment. The role involves aggregating and analyzing customer forecasting inputs, interfacing with customers and manufacturing to ensure alignment, and performing tasks such as problem-solving, data/statistical analysis, business strategy development, inventory/cost reduction, and systems modeling.
Responsibilities
Develop all regular and ad-hoc reporting views to confirm near term implementation of S&OP forecast or to highlight gaps from expected.
Compile plant location data into BU aggregated dashboards (via Microsoft PowerBI) such as backlog, finished goods, order book + trends, WIP, manufacturing rates, forecast and plan gaps.
Clearly present weekly tracking position of plant production/orders against expectations.
Identify any areas of misalignment between tactical execution and forecasted results and elevate issues to S&OP Implementation Manager for resolution.
Aggregate and analyze customer forecasting inputs for the automotive segment.
Maintain customer forecast datasets and create PowerBI dashboards to bring visibility to customer changes and gaps to promise dates.
Report to the S&OP Implementation Manager for Rolled Products North America.
Key Objectives
Support and implement strategic and tactical plans for the execution of the Near-Term forecasting process.
Understand the overall business strategy and objectives, plant operations, commercial, finance processes to support business requirements.
Support regular interaction between manufacturing operations, finance, and commercial teams to reconcile issues and drive root cause solutions.
Support Near Term process events as required to meet productivity and cost objectives, including Kaizen workshops.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science/Analytics, Marketing/Communications, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
5 years of experience in operations, supply chain management, finance, or procurement.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Exceptional Candidates Also Have
Proficiency with PowerQuery and PowerBI.
Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
MBA in Business Administration/Economics or similar.
S&OP planning experience.
Experience in the Aluminum industry.
