Job Description The Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced OUSD Policy Analyst to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict (ASW SO/LIC) in Arlington, VA. This role offers an opportunity to apply your existing OSW policy experience to a dynamic portfolio covering special operations, counterterrorism, information operations, irregular warfare, and counter‑unmanned systems (C‑UXS).

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative and analytical support to SO/LIC leadership for irregular warfare and information operations, including:

Preparing high‑level meeting agendas and read‑ahead packages

Tracking and managing action items from senior leader engagements

Preparing briefings for senior leadership

Manage the Counter‑Unmanned Systems (C‑UXS) portfolio for the Joint Rapid Acquisition Center (JRAC) Warfighter Senior Integration Group (W‑SIG), facilitating rapid acquisition and global deployment of C‑UXS capabilities in response to urgent Combatant Command requirements

Conduct daily Open‑Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection, review, and research to support C‑UXS and irregular warfare operations

Analyze and integrate multi‑source intelligence, including C‑UXS data, to:

Monitor and assess global C‑UXS campaigns and operations

Review, evaluate, and categorize high volumes of complex intelligence to identify patterns and trends

Produce clear, concise intelligence products, speculative analysis, and evaluations

Advise on changes to policy guidance, operational plans, and intelligence activities

Coordinate with uniformed planners and senior OSW leaders to address policy and resource implications of emerging operational concepts

Serve as a liaison between U.S. Special Operations Command and stakeholders across DoW, interagency, and intelligence community by preparing briefings, talking points, and executive summaries for high‑level forums

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)

Active Top Secret clearance

At least three (3) years of Policy experience within the Office of the Secretary of Defense/War (OSW), Joint Staff, or Combatant Command (COCOM)
