This role is responsible for supervising their team’s manpower, tools, standard work, and flow of work in order to hit safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets daily and ensure the team is set up for a good tomorrow. Supervises and trains direct reports, coordinates large and complex projects, and interfaces with general contractors, branch and sales staff to ensure proper procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Review and analyze documentation for use in the preparation of complex New Installation (NI) and Modernization (MOD) submittal data including quoted prices, architectural drawings, and surveys. Review and make necessary changes to quotation pricing based on customer driven changes to ensure accuracy and completeness of data presented for submittal drawings.

Prepare job status reports for interactive conference calls. Audit conference calls and job status reports.

Prepare accurate and timely release orders to suppliers to assure the precise equipment is delivered in accordance with the contract schedule.

Correspond frequently with general contractors, branch and sales staff to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

Respond to internal and external customer requests within time specified within our service level agreements.

Coordinate and facilitate special project meetings with internal and external customers.

Identify, resolve, and initiate problem resolution during the change management process.

Supervise, lead and update Key Performance Indicators for daily Lean Manufacturing meetings.

Manage and lead advanced projects through the order process by removing barriers that arise in various stages of the project. Ensure project flows through Order Management using advanced project management skills such as communication, team management, leadership, negotiation, personal organization and risk management. Process jobs by drop dead date to ensure requested ship dates are met.

Enter and maintain data on mainframe and Order Management database. Maintain related forms and files. Maintain control system to distribute drawings to the proper department. Maintain system to report cost changes to ensure accurate billing.

Supervise, train and coach new or existing employees on Order Management and Lean Manufacturing processes.

Lead rapid improvement events.

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Supervise and approve employees’ time.

Assist the Manager of Coordination in developing, administering and ensuring adherence to departmental standards and budgets.

Supervise all assigned coordinators’ workloads for timely release orders and equipment is delivered in accordance with job schedules.

Conduct, with the assistance of the manager, mid-year and yearly evaluations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business or a related field required, equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.

Three or more years of related experience in the elevator industry preferred including a minimum of two years’ experience of supervising or managing team.

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.

Operational Excellence experience preferred.

Proven focus on customer satisfaction required.

Proven leadership skills in hiring, training, confidentiality, and development.

Demonstrated strategic thinking skills.

Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment required.

Possess ability to work with all levels within the organization, as well as customers and vendors required.

Demonstrated team engagement, problem solving and project management skills required.

Must have excellent ability to analyze and organize daily activities to support the organization in a timely and efficient manner required.
