Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services. Every day, you will expertly manage intricate scheduling and resource allocation while meticulously entering and maintaining data, producing schedules, and overseeing template maintenance.
Maintain the surgery schedule, providing necessary information to patients and physicians.
Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability.
Conduct patient pre‑certification on proper insurance approval for appointments and medical care.
Ensure all pre‑operative required tests needed prior to surgery are scheduled and completed.
Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability scheduled, and pre‑surgery medication arranged prior to the scheduled procedure.
Communicate detailed information and answer patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival and departure instructions relative to the procedure.
Job Requirements
High School Graduate: High‑school diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience in a healthcare environment, upon hire.
