Description The Inventory Control Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring inventory accuracy, cost control, and continuous improvement across production operations. This position supports the integrity of Production Batch Orders (PBOs), leads yield tracking initiatives, and serves as a key resource for inventory troubleshooting and training.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities PBO Review & Cost Control
Review all PBOs prior to handoff to accounting.
Ensure consumption and Report As Finished (RAF) entries are accurate.
Identify and resolve major cost variances.
Yield Tracking & Improvement
Monitor and track key production yields.
Collaborate with operations leadership on yield improvement projects.
Develop tools and reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Training & Support
Train and develop Gatekeepers.
Serve as backup for Gatekeeper responsibilities as needed.
Inventory Accuracy
Assist with cycle count program and physical inventory counts.
Use D365 to investigate and resolve inventory and yield discrepancies.
Purchasing Coordination
Report and track damaged or defective raw materials.
Coordinate with the purchasing team to secure vendor credits.
Work Environment
Production areas have moderate to loud noise levels.
Production areas are temperature controlled, which may include cold or hot environments.
You may be required to work overtime, which may include Saturdays, or the possibility of working in another department as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work within temperature‑controlled environments (Heat/Cold).
Walk on slippery wet surfaces.
Hand/eye coordination.
Handling (holding, grasping).
Seeing/depth perception.
Walk/stand 100% of shift.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Occasionally required to reach at/or above shoulder level.
Occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive motions and movements throughout the scheduled shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
