What Your Day Will Look Like As a transportation PD&E manager, you’ll lead the delivery of community transportation improvement projects from planning and conceptual design through preliminary and final design phases to construction.
You’ll lead a planning team to deliver complex PD&E projects.
The transportation PD&E manager reports to the area manager.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage mid- to large-size transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle
Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem‑solving abilities
Prepare scope, schedule, and budgets for PD&E projects
Oversee the planning to design for roadway, highway, and traffic engineering projects
Assist in business development and proposal efforts
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes
Provide excellent leadership, team management, communication, and mentoring
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
Project Management experience in roadway/highway projects
OpenRoads Design software experience is a plus
Registered Professional Engineer in FL or ability to retain PE within 1 year
Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management
Proven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projects
Proficiency in transportation design software, including OpenRoads, MicroStation, and InRoads
Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
