The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing activities supporting various commodities and assembly modules. The purchasing responsibilities include supplier negotiations, sourcing on time and to target, driving annual cost savings activities and development and implementation of global commodity strategies. Lead the resolution and negotiation of commercial issues. The selected candidate will interact with many cross‑functional teams such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or equivalent from an AACSB accredited program; other technical degrees with business background also considered
A minimum 8 years of relevant purchasing experience or other disciplines that require significant negotiation/exposure to sourcing processes
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
Strong communication, presentation and commodity leadership skills
Well organized, self‑motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders
Must be skilled at relationship building, cost analysis, negotiation (both internal and external), benchmarking, time management and presentations to all levels of management
Strong use of MS Office Suite/G Suite
