Operations Manager-2 (USA)

Responsibilities
Initiate and participate in community outreach programs by encouraging and supporting associates and managers in serving as good members of the community, establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals or groups in the community, representing the company to various external organizations, and championing company-sponsored programs, events and sustainability efforts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by holding hourly associates accountable, analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance standards, overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, actively listening, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, setting clear expectations, communicating expectations consistently, promoting a belonging mindset, and providing feedback to ensure business goals are achieved.
Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
Assist store manager in driving the financial performance of the facility by ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved, reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, controlling expenses, developing and implementing corrective plans, and analyzing economic trends and community needs for budget forecasting.
Coordinate, complete and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability, and measuring progress.
Act with integrity, maintain and promote the highest standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company, and foster a culture of belonging, eliminating waste, and participating in local giving.
Serve customers and members by delivering results while putting the customer first and making decisions based on data insights and analysis.
Strive for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, demonstrating resilience, encouraging learning from mistakes, adopting new technologies and skills, and supporting others through change.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Required to attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
