Rental Coordinator – Quinn Company (Pomona, CA)
Quinn Company is a Caterpillar dealership founded in 1919, located in Pomona, California. We specialize in selling, servicing, and renting a full line of new and used construction, agricultural, and material handling equipment, as well as diesel and natural gas engines.
Overview
The Rental Coordinator rents and sells Caterpillar and Allied equipment and products to maximize revenue. This role services the rental and sales needs of current and prospective customers, ranging from small hand tools to large earthmoving and industrial equipment.
Wages
Starting wage depends on experience and education: $20.09 - $24.83 per hour.
Responsibilities
Rental customer service activities: take calls, answer questions, quote rates.
Assist customers in choosing the correct equipment size, mix, and model for application and jobsite requirements.
Promote the use of Caterpillar products for all rental needs.
Maintain a proactive and creative posture to increase rental sales activity and profitability.
Ensure accurate and timely rental transactions: invoicing, insurance verification, credit checks, payment terms, etc.
Schedule and coordinate equipment hauling in support of customers’ needs through appropriate channels; process billing.
Update rental transactions and related information in the Rentalman database.
Perform rental equipment check‑in/check‑out.
Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs with the Service Department; monitor repair status and costs.
Work with the Service Department to identify and bill equipment abuse by customers.
Investigate and resolve customer problems with equipment deliveries, repairs, billing, and logistics.
Make recommendations to management regarding changes in the rental fleet mix and equipment needs to maximize revenue.
Assist outside Sales Representatives as necessary.
Assist with other counter operations and rental store functions as requested by the store manager.
Advise management of significant competitive sales and rental activities.
Represent Quinn Rental Services professionally, promoting the goals and values of Quinn Company and the Caterpillar organization.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
