Overview As the Distribution Network Capabilities Lead, you will design, implement, and optimize the distribution network, focusing on both strategy and project management at our main U.S. Distribution facility in Louisville, KY. Reporting directly to the Site Head, you will be a valued member of the site leadership team that excels in strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, project management, and network capability building to ensure efficient delivery of goods to customers.

What You’ll Do

Work across site leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and implement long‑term distribution strategies to meet business goals.

Lead the planning and facilitation of strategic workshops for the site leadership team to develop strategic roadmaps, including near‑term and long‑term objectives by utilizing lean methodologies such as Hoshin Kanri.

Collaborate with the commercial organization to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for network optimization.

Partner with internal business stakeholders to build annual budget plans regarding transportation, volumes, CAPEX/OPEX, and resources.

Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure distribution network performance.

Support complex network challenges by utilizing lean methodologies for problem resolution, often taking the lead role.

Provide strategic support to internal business process owners in managing inventory levels across the network to optimize storage, minimize costs, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Project Management Leadership

Manage PMO portfolio for the distribution facility, including mid‑ to large‑scale complex projects.

Manage projects from concept through completion, taking accountability for ensuring stated objectives are met.

Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders and leadership through robust communication.

Develop and lead steering committee structure, project charters, and senior leadership decision‑making forums.

Collaborate with other departments such as supply chain, engineering, and IT to execute project plans.

Who You Are

Minimum bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is preferred.

PMP Certification is desired.

Minimum of 10 years of experience managing projects in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years managing large, complex projects in an international environment.

Extensive experience in distribution network design, optimization, and project management.

Proven expertise in applying advanced project management tools and methodologies.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and robust stakeholder engagement.

Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills in strategic planning and project delivery.

Proficiency in project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Broad understanding of warehouse and supply chain disciplines, with in‑depth knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and facility design approaches.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards such as GMP, FDA, ISTA, ASTM, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

Expertise in inventory management, transportation management, and customer service.

Strong understanding of risk‑based qualification and Lean Principles.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated capabilities in technology implementation and process improvement.

Understanding of pharmaceutical products and their storage and transportation requirements.

Relocation funding is not available for this role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Louisville, Kentucky is $113,300 - $210,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
