Overview Of Position We are looking for an integral and hands‑on
Resource Efficiency Manager (REM)
role to be filled at
Fort Drum, NY
to support our military client. The REM will assist the installation to achieve a robust energy‑management program through actions/projects that adhere to energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals. They will develop and assist in implementing actions/projects to support facility maintenance, repair, and construction activities, including design‑review comments; project and program management support; identification of energy‑savings projects; construction coordination and oversight; and other support activities to ensure that energy‑efficiency and water‑conservation measures are incorporated into all actions. The REM will support planning, development, execution, and program‑analysis across multiple energy programs. The role requires promoting, educating, and adopting energy and water‑resource conservation and management activity assistance to optimize the use of utility resources.
An active T1 background clearance and United States citizenship are required to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Provide a wide spectrum of energy engineering and energy‑management functions
Support facility repair and construction activities
Provide design‑review comments
Project management support
Identify energy‑savings projects
Conduct energy audits
Qualifications
Four‑year engineering degree (preferably mechanical or electrical) or registered Professional Engineer registration with at least 5 years of energy‑management experience
Environmental Science, business, or related degree with at least 8 years of energy‑management experience
Two‑year technical degree with at least 10 years of energy‑management experience
No college degree with at least 12 years of energy‑management experience
Certifications
Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Clearance
Active T1 background clearance required
Must be a United States citizen and pass a background check
Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S client(s)/customer(s)/prime contractor(s)
