Overview Cadrex is searching for a Senior Quality Manager to identify quality issues and gaps and implement reporting processes to track quality improvements that enhance current systems. The role defines and prioritizes high-value quality projects and manages projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manages quality assurance programs to identify critical control points and preventive measures, establishes critical limits, and monitors procedures; implements corrective actions and verification procedures.
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information, data, reports, and trend patterns to strategic plans and reviews, for analysis, system improvement, change implementation, and corrective actions.
Leads internal and external corrective action activity related to system/products requiring CAPA’s.
Validates quality process specifications and attributes, measures production, documents evidence, determines operational and performance qualifications, reviews non-conforming logs, and develops and updates quality assurance procedures.
Effectively interacts with Production, Engineering, and Development teams to ensure product quality.
Determines and enforces quality requirements through functional groups in accordance with company needs.
Organizes and promotes company-wide quality improvement efforts.
Evaluates and develops improved techniques for quality and reliability control.
Acts as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to product quality.
Travels to customer and supplier sites when necessary.
Partners with customers and internal business units to resolve issues.
Regularly communicates with customers and internal departments about quality matters and supports the broader quality department with supplier-related issues.
Conducts quality audits of manufacturing processes and parts.
Supports the team for all new product introductions and engineering changes to verify quality documentation and assist with NPI signoff.
Works with continuous improvement team to deploy process change.
Participates in team meetings, documents action items, and keeps the team apprised of customer concerns.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders.
Attention to detail and quality.
Responsive and strong communication skills.
Organized and self‑managed.
Demonstrated ability to use statistical tools and performance measuring system analysis and methods.
Blueprint reading certification.
Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment, LEAN Six Sigma, Green Belt, CQE, and/or ISO 9000 Auditing/AS9100 QMS preferred.
ISO 13485 QMS experience required.
U.S. citizen capable of working in ITAR-controlled facilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport and international visas.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
