Why You Will Love This Job The position is part of the New Product Development CAD team, responsible for high‑quality, efficient designs, project management, and global initiative support. You will collaborate with CAD resources both domestically and internationally, ensuring standards and processes are consistently applied across all functions and regions.
Responsibilities
Complete CAD design work using CREO and Windchill, applying design intent with a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes.
Analyze designs and recommend changes, modifications, or cost reductions.
Utilize engineering best practices and practical problem solving across design, fabrication, validation, systems, and processes.
Effectively communicate, support, and share best practices cross‑functionally and cross‑culturally.
Support genset conceptual, development, and production builds through a gated engineering release process.
Continuously identify process and CAD standards improvements.
Make appropriate decisions using decision support tools and critical thinking, including risk/reward analyses and critical pathing.
Take ownership and accountability for both individual work and work completed as part of a team.
Build and nurture business relationships and trust, fostering engagement among teams.
Requirements
Associate degree in Mechanical Design or a similar field AND 3+ years of experience, OR a bachelor’s degree in a non‑engineering discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience demonstrating results.
Preferred experience with Creo/Windchill or at least 3 years using similar 3D modeling software.
Self‑starter capable of working independently and/or within teams.
Experience in a Model Based Definition environment is a plus.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Analytical with strong problem‑solving abilities.
Capable of making appropriate decisions using support tools, documentation, and critical thinking.
Willing to take moderate risk.
