Technical Test

: After an introductory call with safety radar’s recruiting team, qualified candidates will be emailed a technical test prompt to showcase proficiency in completing software engineering deliverables.

Review

: Candidates who complete the technical test will be scheduled for a video call to present their results and interview with the safety radar leadership team.

About the role As a software engineer at safety radar, you will be a key contributor to our growing engineering team. You will work on developing and maintaining both frontend and backend components of the safety radar platform, with opportunities to take ownership of features and platform improvements. This role offers a balance of hands‑on development work and technical leadership opportunities in a startup environment.

At safety radar, you will:

Develop and maintain web applications using react and node.j. s

Build and optimise backend services, apis, and database integrations

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop and deploy new features

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality & development processes

Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines (aws preferred)

Contribute to architecture decisions and technical planning

Participate in customer feedback sessions and product road‑mapping discussions

Required experience & skills

3+ years of professional software development experience( more experienced candidates may be eligible to start as a senior software engineer)

Strong experience building web applications using react/reactive native

Proficiency with backend dev, API design, and database management

Experience with cloud platforms preferably aws

Familiarity with c/i>d o/c>? CI/CD tools(git hub actions, iac)

Strong problem solving& independent work

Experience with version control(git)and agile dev methodologies

Preferred Skills

Experience with postgresql & SQL optimization

Knowledge of devops practices and iac

Familiarity with machine learning concepts and integration

Experience working startup environments

Understanding of security best practices & code quality standards

Key technologies

RESTful apis and microservices architecture

This role operates in an office environment with a work‑from‑home element in our hybrid schedule. In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, you will be required to view an computer terminal for prolonged periods of F & may involve travel to client offices and locations from time to time since at as‑needed break.

Compensation Range
