- OB On-Call Hospitalist: Monday-Thursday 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, Friday noon-7:00 AM, weekends Saturday 7:00 AM-Monday 7:00 AM; must be onsite within 20 minutes of request, not in-house.
- Clinic-Based: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM-noon; includes inpatient duties, Gyn surgeries, deliveries, and clinic visits.
- Assignment includes specific blocks between Dec 26, 2025, and Jun 22, 2026.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide OB hospitalist coverage, managing deliveries and emergent situations during on-call hours
- Perform inpatient duties, gynecologic surgeries, and deliveries during scheduled clinic hours
- Conduct patient evaluations, consultations, and follow-up care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with certified nurse midwives and women's health advanced practice providers
- Respond to C-section requests as needed based on call schedule
- Ensure timely and effective communication with the healthcare team
- Maintain required documentation and adhere to clinical protocols
Additional Information
- Illinois medical license required
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Previous experience in a hospitalist and clinic-based obstetrics/gynecology setting preferred
