About the Role: Hvantage Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced

Senior Systems Analyst

with a strong background in

U.S. Healthcare IT ,

data warehousing , and

SQL-based analytics . This position plays a

pivotal role

in our healthcare data initiatives

ensuring that business and technical teams are fully aligned through comprehensive analysis, requirements gathering, data mapping, and solution validation. This individual will act as the

bridge between business stakeholders, data engineers, and development teams , ensuring end-to-end implementation of healthcare data systems, platforms, and integrations. The ideal candidate will possess both strong analytical thinking and a deep understanding of healthcare datasets, interoperability standards, and data models.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business & Systems Analysis Collaborate closely with

business users, product owners, and data engineering teams

to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements. Develop and maintain

comprehensive system documentation , including business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), data flow diagrams, and process maps. Translate business problems into

technical specifications , ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives. Conduct

impact analysis

and identify potential risks, dependencies, and integration touchpoints across systems.

2. Healthcare Data Expertise Analyze, interpret, and validate

healthcare datasets

including Member, Provider, Claims, Encounter, Eligibility, and Clinical data. Work with

HL7, FHIR, EDI 837/835, and related interoperability standards

to ensure compliance and data quality. Engage in

data profiling and mapping

activities to support data migration, integration, and transformation projects. Collaborate with architects and data engineers to ensure

data lineage, traceability, and integrity

throughout system processes.

3. Data Warehousing & SQL Work extensively with

SQL and relational databases

(such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake) for

data querying, validation, and analysis . Partner with data engineering teams to define

data models, ETL requirements, and data pipelines . Validate data between source and target systems using

data reconciliation and mapping exercises . Participate in

data quality audits

and help establish data governance standards.

4. Requirement Definition & User Story Creation Independently create

detailed user stories

and acceptance criteria aligned with Agile practices. Conduct

data mapping workshops

to define source-to-target transformations and logic. Ensure that each story has clear traceability from business needs to technical implementation. Work with the QA team to define test data, validation rules, and user acceptance criteria.

5. End-to-End Solution Thinking Look beyond requirements documentation

conceptualize end-to-end workflows, dependencies, and implementation steps . Identify external data sources, APIs, and integration dependencies early in the lifecycle. Provide recommendations for

process optimization, data automation, and system scalability . Review solution designs and provide feedback from a business logic and data consistency standpoint.

6. Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration Act as the

liaison

between cross-functional teams

business, technical, QA, and operations

to ensure requirements clarity and delivery success. Present findings, data models, and solution proposals to

senior stakeholders and client representatives . Maintain transparency and alignment through

regular status updates, requirement walkthroughs, and sign-off sessions . Drive collaboration in a

remote/onshore environment

while maintaining excellent communication standards.

7. Agile/Scrum Participation Participate in

Agile ceremonies

such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews. Prioritize and refine stories to ensure development teams have actionable, ready-to-execute requirements. Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to manage scope and release timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Domain Expertise Strong understanding of

U.S. Healthcare systems , including payer and provider workflows. Deep familiarity with healthcare data domains:

Claims, Members, Providers, Eligibility, Encounters, and Clinical

data. Experience working in environments using

healthcare data standards and interoperability protocols

like HL7, FHIR, and EDI.

Technical Skills SQL (Structured Query Language):

Advanced proficiency in writing complex queries, joins, data validations, and stored procedures. Data Warehousing:

Expertise in data warehousing design, schema management, and ETL workflow validation. Strong exposure to

data modeling and mapping , including ER diagrams and relational model documentation. Familiarity with

ETL tools

such as Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory (ADF) is preferred. Experience in

data visualization or analytics tools

(Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus. Understanding of

Azure cloud services

and healthcare data storage frameworks (FHIR Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake) preferred.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Exceptional analytical ability to identify issues, analyze trends, and propose practical solutions. Adept at diagnosing data discrepancies, root-cause analysis, and system performance issues. Proven ability to think

holistically about systems , integrations, and data dependencies.

Soft Skills Excellent

verbal and written communication

skills

able to articulate technical and functional details clearly. Strong organizational and

documentation discipline , with attention to detail. Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in

independent as well as collaborative remote environments . Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Education & Certifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA. Certification in

Healthcare IT

or

Data Analytics

(optional but advantageous). Microsoft / Azure Data Fundamentals or equivalent cloud certification is a plus.

Preferred Experience Experience in

payer organizations, health plans, or healthcare analytics firms . Exposure to

data warehouse modernization or cloud migration projects

in healthcare. Experience with

Agile or hybrid Agile environments

using tools like

JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps .
