Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled overnight emergency veterinarian to join our team in Upland, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.
Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center (IVVS) is a 24‑hour specialty and emergency referral hospital located in Upland, CA. Our newly renovated facility is equipped with full in‑house labs, high‑quality ultrasound, continuous ECG telemetry, endoscopy equipment, Class II NuAire Biosafety Cabinet, and more. We foster a supportive culture of collaboration, mutual respect, and enjoyment of our work environment.

This position offers competitive compensation, a high minimum base salary, generous production plan, up to $75,000 sign‑on bonus, and relocation assistance if needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups.
Communicate and educate clients effectively.
Perform diagnostic procedures, surgeries, and maintain accurate medical records.
Handle pharmacy duties such as prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols.
Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations.
Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge.
Attend daily rounds and ensure highest standards of care.
Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications (Required)
Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university.
Current state veterinary license.
DEA registration.
1+ years of experience in veterinary emergency practice.
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
Excellent surgical and dental skills.
Team‑oriented attitude.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including client interactions.
Ability to manage stress, illness, or pain in animals.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical tasks.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Advanced clinical knowledge across cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurological, and other systems.
Problem‑solving skills in hospital management.
Effective communication with clients and internal staff.

Pay Range
$225,000 — $250,000 USD
