Position Summary The Director, Business Lending Dealer Partner, will serve as an expert and advocate of the Business Lending product for Stellantis Financial Services (STLA) OEM automobile dealerships. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Business Lending Dealer Partners, developing a strategy to increase penetration and dealer satisfaction, maintaining the relationship with the OEM, and representing SFS at all commercial events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the expert on all Business Lending matters for the Business Lending Dealer Partners, dealers, and the OEM.
Lead and support Business Lending Dealer Partners in developing and maintaining strong dealer relationships through regular meetings to present lending programs, gather feedback, and promote dealer success.
Attend key industry events both regionally and nationally as an SFS representative including, but not limited to, OEM sales meetings, SFS sales meetings, dealer gatherings, truck club events, etc.
Maintain a thorough understanding of all Business Lending policies and procedures with the ability to identify gaps, suggest improvements and policy alignment within the Business Lending group.
Develop and maintain appropriate tracking measures and KPIs for the Business Lending Dealer Partners.
Attend dealer visits with Business Lending Dealer Partners to fortify dealer relationships, monitor performance, and provide feedback as appropriate.
Develop operational reporting to support strategic initiatives and team performance.
Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies Required To Perform this Job Successfully Required Experience
Minimum ten (10) years of related commercial automotive finance experience.
Seven (7) years minimum of managerial or leadership experience.
Education
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Skills Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Critical thinking and independent judgment.
In-depth understanding of Business Lending products, dealership operations and the automotive finance industry.
Ability to make sound decisions based on thorough analysis and evaluation.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
Other Requirements
Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
Travel 25-50% – required on an as needed basis.
Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, and Accounting is highly preferred!
Previous experience as a sales representative in a Captive Finance environment.
