About the Role We are seeking an experienced

Staff

Process Engineer

to support the successful and reliable design, integration, and deployment of our electrolyzer systems at customer sites. Fourier engineers work in a hands-on, collaborative environment to solve problems and push progress forward. Qualified candidates should have prior hands-on experience working in an industrial setting, ensuring customer success from design through commissioning.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and optimize the

process design

of Fourier proprietary Electrolyzer Equipment stack ups and supporting systems.

Design and prototype tools to aid system deployment and commissioning. Plan, integrate, and ensure system compatibility and start up at customer sites.

Ensure that the Fourier Electrolyzer Equipment and processes meet and exceed customer and regulatory safety requirements and performance expectations.

Collect and analyze process field data in partnership with the Software & Controls and Engineering team to identify trends, intercept process issues and improve system performance.

Lead and rapidly troubleshoot engineering projects and resolve on-site issues with a high level of cross functional, problem-solving capability.

Coordinate and oversee third-party certifications (e.g., UL, TÜV SÜD) for hydrogen systems, including preparation of documentation, test plans, and engagement with certifying bodies.

Qualifications Required

B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

10+ years of relevant experience in process engineering or system integration.

Hands-on work with gas and/or water piping, valve selection, and fluid handling systems.

Experience in the development and deployment of novel chemical or electrochemical systems.

Solid understanding of Process Safety Management requirements (PHA, HAZID, HAZOP).

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA, EPA, NFPA).

Excellent communication skills and ability to execute under high-pressure situations.

Willingness to frequently travel to customer sites.

Experience with or willingness to manage product certification processes (UL, TÜV SÜD, or similar) for hydrogen equipment.
