SALARY: $80K-$100K

Production Manager – Manufacturing / Machine Shop

We are seeking an experienced

Production Manager

to oversee daily operations within our machine shop and heat-treat area. This role reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for meeting production goals, maintaining high quality, and ensuring a safe, efficient workflow. The machine shop runs on

1st shift (M–F) ; heat-treat operations run

24/5 .

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily production to meet targets for quality, delivery, and efficiency

Monitor schedules, equipment, and material flow to ensure smooth operations

Troubleshoot process issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement long‑term improvements

Supervise machinists, operators, and team leads while promoting teamwork and engagement

Drive cross‑department collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance

Track production metrics (output, downtime, scrap) and act on performance trends

Lead Lean/5S/Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and boost productivity

Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment

Qualifications

Associate/Bachelor’s in Manufacturing or related field preferred (experience accepted)

5+ years in machining, manufacturing, or production leadership

Strong knowledge of Swiss‑type CNC lathes and metalworking processes

ACME screw machine experience a plus

Experience with Heat Treatment, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PartMaker, G/M code a plus

Proven leadership skills in fast‑paced environments

ERP/MRP proficiency and solid Microsoft Office skills

Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
