Application deadline: Feb 24, 2026 The Analytics ADC team is at the forefront of delivering AWS Analytics cloud services to customers in isolated, air-gapped cloud environments. We are focused on expanding Analytics services across air-gapped regions, driving automation investments, and delivering open-source solutions. We build massively scalable distributed systems and deliver the next generation of cloud computing with AWS offerings like Athena, LakeFormation, Redshift, OpenSearch, Glue, QuickSight, and Agentic AI services. We are seeking a Systems Development Engineer II who can think big and simplify solutions while ensuring the best possible customer experience. A successful candidate will innovate, build solutions, and work closely with Amazon’s largest and most demanding government customers to address their needs across Analytics services in air-gapped environments. The role includes driving the resolution of technical issues and improving the customer experience. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and the candidate must opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. Key responsibilities

Work cross-functionally to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead resolution of contentious issues. Love to code. Build tools in Java or solve complex system problems in Python; apply software development methodologies and use the right tools for the job. Develop and operate AWS Agentic AI services that enable customers to optimize their data in air-gapped regions; contribute to security campaigns, automation, and open-source solutions. Develop, build, and operate AWS Agentic AI services; support services in air-gapped environments with unique engineering challenges and opportunities. Contribute to operational excellence by incident resolution, automation, and infrastructure improvements; influence technical strategy and architectural decisions within the team and with partner teams. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems) 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications

For salaried roles, compensation includes sign-on payments and RSUs; final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
