Overnight Security Officer Fairmont Hotels & Resorts We are looking for a dedicated Overnight Security Officer to ensure the safety of guests, colleagues, and premises at Fairmont Austin, the largest luxury property in Austin with 1,048 guestrooms and suites and over 140,000 square feet of meeting space. This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest‑growing hotel teams in the United States. Responsibilities Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, colleagues and hotel premises Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy are investigated and reported Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and CPR as required Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crisis situations Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control Conduct departmental key‑control audits and maintain key‑control records Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way Follow department policies, procedures and service standards Follow all safety policies Other duties as assigned What is In It For You Paid time off Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401k Complimentary shift meal Employee benefit card offering discounted rates worldwide Learning programs through our Academies and educational assistance for further development Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the world Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, such as the Sustainability Committee Qualifications Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required University/College degree in a related discipline preferred Ambiance and Tracktik knowledge preferred Must possess a professional presentation Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Physical Demands Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or more Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Ability to work rotating shifts and call‑back hours when required Required Education and Experience Previous experience in a Security role required Certification in CPR First Aid required Must possess, or be able to possess within 3 months of hire date, a Texas level II non‑commissioned Security Officer certification as per the Texas Department of Public Safety Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
