Job Description DPR Construction is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Self Perform Work (SPW) division within DPR. The SPW division directly hires and manages craft workforces to perform scopes such as Concrete, Drywall, Electrical, Interiors, Waterproofing, and more. This role will be the primary data analyst for SPW, engaging with front‑line supervisors, craft foremen, project managers, executives, and corporate leadership. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, build relationships, identify pain points, create and execute data strategies, and deliver actionable insights. This role is part of the Data Analytics team and ensures DPR moves toward data‑driven decisions based on integrated business processes, systems, and analytics. Responsibilities Strategic Partnership / Roadmap / Execution / Delivery Collaborate with direct SPW business partners and other business units to align DA efforts with objectives and goals Create, maintain, and execute the data analytics roadmap for SPW Drive conversations with stakeholders to understand pain points and focus on successful outcomes and actions Maintain relationships with business stakeholders and understand their processes, tools, and goals Apply construction management knowledge to guide development of data‑driven insights with SPW leaders and front‑line managers Lead development and implementation of solutions to current pain points, focusing on long‑term, best‑in‑class solutions Visualization / Storytelling Work with stakeholders to align business requirements Create and maintain dashboards and apps as required Deliver actionable insights to improve business processes and drive strategic conversations Track and monitor usage metrics to measure analytics impact Complete ad‑hoc analysis as required Troubleshoot Issues / Failures Identify root cause of data integrity issues (report, DFL, data warehouse, source system) Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues in visualization tools Data Modeling And ETL Create complex data models in visualization tools and perform transformations as needed Query the data warehouse using SQL for rapid analysis Clean data as required Identify potential new datasets and integrations with the data warehouse Collaborate with Technical Analysts to build requirements for views in DBT and the data warehouse Documentation Work with Data Engineering on the development and maintenance of the data catalog Document queries, transformations, and refresh schedules for reports Security / Governance Implement and enhance data security and governance guidelines Create, maintain, and implement security for DFLs Review requests and grant access to DFLs, reports, and apps as needed Create and maintain row‑level security in visualization tools where required Collaborate with stakeholders to define and fulfill security requirements Change Management Complete impact analysis on reports when changes occur upstream Quantify and communicate impacts to stakeholders and customers Coordination / Collaboration / Prioritization Identify opportunities for data collaboration and integration between disciplines Coordinate alignment across T&I groups as applicable Identify opportunities for AI/ML/Data Science projects and collaborate on delivery Prioritize requests and initiatives based on business impact and resourcing Participate in Integrated Workgroup meetings to align support functions Training / Data Literacy Train end‑users on using and interpreting dashboards and reports Train end‑users on building reports themselves Provide on‑the‑job training to business stakeholders as needed Collaborate with Data Engineering to develop Self‑Service analytic tools Increase data literacy across DPR through targeted trainings and conversations Identify opportunities to improve data literacy throughout the organization Data SME Serve as the subject‑matter expert for data availability, quality, processes, and technology Maintain understanding of the data pipeline architecture to articulate benefits and limitations for end users Ensure source‑of‑truth systems are identified and operational Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related, plus three (3) years of experience in data application, or Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of experience. Preferred experience in construction industry, including terminology and typical processes. Preferred experience with self‑perform teams and managing craft workforce. Preferred experience with construction project controls (Earned Value Management, productivity, schedule, cost management). Passion for data and business‑intelligence principles and ability to optimize outcomes. Proven track record of translating pain points into data requirements and solving complex problems. Strong analytic skills, including data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization. Ability to create data models and understand dependencies between source systems. Experience with Power BI (required) for visualization and dataflow creation. Experience consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL) from client side. SQL scripting experience (required). Advanced business acumen with understanding of typical company operations and decision evaluation. Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, written, verbal, visual, and analytical skills. Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with internal and external clients and customers.
