Ideal candidate will be local to Columbus, Ohio with the ability to work a hybrid schedule and come into the Dublin, OH office 1-2 days a week.
This accounting manager will support GBFS (Global Business and Finance Services). The GBFS accounting function is responsible for providing accounting oversight of several key areas performed by the GBFS organization, including accounts receivable, rebates, pricing and chargebacks.
What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
Oversees team of supervisors who are responsible for the oversight of work conducted by outsourced staff and maintains the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that outsourced staff comply with accounting policies and procedures
Assists in the management of the monthly financial close process, including reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and performing timely review of results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP
Oversees accounting of the GBFS organization, including accounts receivable, rebates, pricing and chargebacks
Performs regular review of accounting processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement to ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing under an appropriate control environment
Leads team of supervisors in development of technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
Performs or leads special projects and financial analysis to support the business needs as requested
Role requires significant coordination and communication with GBFS, finance and accounting business partners
Qualifications
6+ years of accounting experience, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
External audit or financial reporting experience highly desired
CPA preferred
Prior supervisory/manager experience, preferred
Experience with SAP preferred

$105,100–$150,100
