General Job Description Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager and Project Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for supporting the service project manager by performing the duties listed below. Successful performers in this position will have the ability to develop, maintain and enhance ongoing relationships with Service Customers. This position is designed to develop Service Sales Engineers/Service Project Managers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare customer proposals, including repairs, unit replacements and maintenance contracts. This will include clearly defining scope, exclusions and general conditions.
Survey job sites and develop job cost estimates, visit jobsites or obtain information from field technicians to prepare job cost estimates and alternative solutions for customer problems, obtain equipment pricing from vendors, use multiple software packages to prepare estimates.
Prepare ductwork and piping takeoffs; estimating job costs and developing scope for proposals requires takeoff skills, read construction drawings, strong math and analytical skills.
Load calculations: Using third‑party software, prepare load calculations to determine cooling and heating requirements.
Selling maintenance contracts: Develop an understanding of the scope for ACCOCare, ACCOGuard, ACCOServe, review all work orders to determine coverage, determine appropriate tasking and prepare booking documentation.
Develop and maintain customer relationships: Prospect for future customers, close sales transactions, keep customers happy, ensure customers are aware of all services.
Communicating with field personnel: Convey scope of work, assist field in problem solving, participate in pre‑job meetings.
Business ethics and professional conduct – treat customers, vendors, employees fairly, honestly.
Position Requirements
Associate’s Degree in HVAC
Minimum 3 years in HVAC Service Industry; mid‑level understanding of HVAC and Control Systems.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate with various personalities.
Good organizational and time‑management skills; handle multiple issues.
Able to participate in customer relations issues and find solutions to disputes.
Good technical knowledge in HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping.
Understand the necessity of maximizing productivity of technician workforce.
Good verbal, written, listening and computer skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Regular and routine attendance. Telecommuting is not permitted.
Drive a motor vehicle; must possess a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
Hours This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the supervisor.
Travel 25% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branch offices and customer job sites.
