State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time HR Manager The HR Manager will lead and coordinate HR initiatives that align with organizational goals. This role is responsible for overseeing key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, development, and offboarding
Oversee payroll and benefits administration
Serve as a trusted advisor to management on HR policies, best practices, employee relations, and employment law compliance
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational objectives and legal requirements
Manage and administer compensation, benefits, and leave programs
Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary matters while ensuring fairness and compliance with labor laws
Support DEI initiatives and employee engagement programs that reflect the credit union's commitment to inclusion and member service
Maintain HRIS and personnel records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Analyze HR metrics and provide reports and insights
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO)
Qualifications Required Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related fields
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or equivalent certificationMinimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience with two years experience in a management role
Must be able to manage tight deadlines, multiple priorities in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment
Excellent knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
