Company Description Brookwood Community Farm (BCF) is a non‑profit, often female and/or non‑binary run, production‑focused farm founded in 2006. We restore underutilized farmland near Boston, strengthen the local food system and increase access to healthy food in low‑income neighborhoods. Sustainability means ongoing improvements to our systems to maximize production without stressing land or staff. We provide staff training in farm‑specific technical and mechanical skills, a practice rarely found elsewhere. The farm cultivates 5 acres using organic practices and is located just south of Boston, by the Blue Hills Reservation in Canton, MA.

Job Description Our Farm Manager will have general responsibility for operating our two sites—5 acres in field production and two greenhouses—and for representing the farm to the Brookwood community. The role includes developing short‑ and long‑term plans, coordinating farming operations, and overseeing all farm staff. The Farm Manager works with other staff and board members on volunteer, education, and food justice programs and reports directly to the BCF board. The position is fast‑paced, detail‑oriented, and requires high flexibility, creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment. The farm operates a 24‑week, 225‑member CSA, on‑site farmstand, weekly stall at the Roslindale Farmer’s Market, and daily donations.
