About the Role We’re looking for a meticulous, detail‑oriented, and grounded Restaurant & Bar Manager to help build and guide our ship. You will help make our newly opened speakeasy into a destination for high‑end drinks and service in Washington DC, and assist in opening our daily service.
What You’ll Do
Build a team of hospitality Superheroes!
Maintain top‑notch training programs so the facility runs to an agreed‑upon set of standards.
Experience with POS software (Toast) and private event software (Tripleseat) preferred.
Oversee and manage facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain rapport with vendors, coordinating and supervising delivery of services.
Work with HR to recruit, train and develop top‑notch team members, and indoctrinate new employees in the company's culture and core values.
Manage and resolve crew conflicts in a professional manner.
Ensure the best possible guest experience for daily reservations and private events, including set up and clean‑up, and the highest level of customer service via email, phone and in‑person touchpoints.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all local alcohol/beverage and food safety laws applicable.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a leader.
Commitment to and alignment with the company’s core values.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
Minimum 2 years management experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the bar/hospitality industry, cocktail bar experience preferred.
Must have initiative and strong interpersonal skills.
Evenings and weekends will be required.
Proof of DC ABRA Manager‑on‑Duty certification required prior to start of employment.
Proof of Servsafe (or equivalent) certification required prior to start of employment.
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year.
